We’re looking for a full-time Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician to join our team in Sackville, New Brunswick. We need a skilled Electrician who shares the values that guide everything we do at Wheeler Electric. Simply stated, we put people first: our customers, our team, and our community… and we care about the environment.
If that appeals to you, and you’re ready to step into a leadership role on a crew running the full gamut of residential and commercial electrical services, with a strong focus on sustainability, we’d love to hear from you.
You’re a great candidate if you’re someone who wants to:
✅ Lead a small crew, providing guidance, mentorship, and leadership to your apprentices.
✅ Deliver top-quality work backed by professionalism and exceptional customer service.
✅ Work directly with customers, communicating with care and clarity.
✅ Join a company that’s becoming a regional leader in Green Energy solutions.
✅ Give back to your community and help strengthen the place you live and work.
✅ Become a valued member of a team that supports each other and loves what they do.

- 10 paid holidays (2 more than the provincial standard)
- Paid sick/family leave, and flexible unpaid leave so you don’t have to choose between work and well-being

Respect for Diversity
Wheeler Electric is proud to reflect the diversity of our community. We strive to ensure every team member feels valued, safe, and respected, and we expect all staff to support that culture. We especially welcome applications from women, Indigenous people, members of racialized communities, LGBTQIA+ individuals… and others who are underrepresented in the trades.
What We’re Looking For
There’s a lot here, and it’s important that we take a moment to stress how crucial customer service is to who we are. In a world where customers are rightfully complaining about how tradespeople don’t return calls, fail to show up when they say they will, can’t respectfully and clearly explain what the customer needs to know to make the right decision, and, worst of all, discovering sub-par and dangerous electrical work, we are making a difference.
It shows in our exceptional referral rates, our repeat calls, and in our perfect 5-star review rating on Google. Every member of our team takes pride in how the work we do makes a positive difference in people’s lives, and you will be a big part of that, too.
Professionalism & Quality Work
- You’re detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to delivering top-quality work that meets or exceeds code requirements.
- You take feedback well and are willing to make improvements to ensure top-quality work.
- You have strong troubleshooting skills and you approach challenges with curiosity and care. (This means that when things go wrong on the job, and the plan you went in with needs to be totally re-worked, you don’t freak out or get angry, but rather get curious and ask for support and suggestions if needed).
- You’re comfortable working at heights (with provided safety gear) and tight spaces and you hold a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Leadership & Communication
- You bring a positive, collaborative attitude to the job site and value clear communication and mutual respect.
- You’re ready to lead and mentor apprentices with patience and teamwork.
- You take safety seriously, always keeping both your crew and customers protected.
- You communicate clearly and respectfully with everyone you encounter on the job, understanding that our reputation is built on trust and service.
- You deliver the kind of service that earns 5-star reviews.
- You are attentive to how you present yourself to customers and understand that you communicate as much with your appearance and attitude as you do with your words and your quality of work.
- You are fluent in English, and French is a significant asset in our service region, but it is not required.
